He primarily advises clients who face the challenge of caring for elderly or special needs family members, taking a holistic approach that addresses all aspects of the legal, financial and care issues involved in these complex and deeply sensitive matters. This includes representing disabled individuals before government agencies; advising on creating special needs trusts, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and guardianship; advocating for children’s rights to public benefits in schools; and long-term care planning, among other related issues.\n \nJason is also involved in all aspects of estate planning, from creating wills and trusts to estate administration, probate and trust litigation. He listens closely to his clients to understand their goals and family dynamics and develops a strategy that protects their wealth when it is passed on to future generations. Jason is adept at tax and business planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, as well as business succession planning. He also counsels on establishing foundations, obtaining tax-exempt status and helping clients effectively manage these and other charitable entities.\n \nIn addition to helping clients plan for the future, Jason represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in connection with the administration of estates and trusts. He works with tax authorities at both the state and federal level in connection with the auditing of tax returns, both for individuals filing personal income tax and gift tax returns and for estates filing estate tax returns.\n
